Image
So....the first time I went to Roma was about 3 years ago....i liked it...but def did not love it...i am not sure why i decided to go back...i guess i wanted to discover rome...but not the touristy side of things but the real rome....man...i am so happy i did.....i fell in love with it......from the people, to the food, to the buildings, the fresh markets...just everything was right, except my italian, i can speak a little but not very well...haha..... so i off course my days all started how the real itlalians do it..cornetti e cappuchino.....cornetti is like a criossant but a little sweeter and that is what they typically eat, some even dunk it into their cappuchino....so nice.....so here is a pic: so breakfast was def good.....my day then continued with just randomly walking an exploring from the more tourisTy sites like the vatican (see first pic below) and the Pantheon, which funny enough, af amous site that i never saw on my first visit....(see second pic below) to tiny real it...

My Mutti & Oma

Image
So now I have been in Switzerland and Germany for a little bit of time. I wanted to spend time with my 2 grannies, Oma & Mutti. We went to various little cities (yes, here in Switzerland, once a place has over 10 000 inhabitants they are allowed to call themselves a city), the architecture is very beautiful and also some villages, i am gonna call them villages cause to me they are not cities, even have little dams etc, so nice....off course i tried the cappuchino in both Switzerland and Germany and not just at one coffeeshop...Switzerland was nice, Germany not so much....hmm....i wonder if i find my SA cappuchino...... Off course i also tried typical Swiss and German food...... So...the first pic is Spaezli mit Chaes,  Spaezli is a side dish served with normally a meat and sauce....it is made just from water and flour and then there is a special hand machine (lots of effort) that then makes it that shape, this one came with chaes which is cheese, so like a...

Budapest

Image
So, Im back from Budapest, it was absolutely amazing. The first photo is the famous St Stephan Basilica, absolutely stunning. the second picture is me infront of the Buda Castle in the Buda district. I never knew that the famous Danube river actually divides the city into Buda and Pest. The buldings are stunning, will put a fourth picture up. I satyed with my friend Lillian's cousin who took me out the second night to try typical Hungarian shots....very cool and the bar was like an old cave called a ruin. I honestly loved my time there and was sad to leave. it was also cheap. Off course i tried all the Hungarian food from goulash soup to fish soup to palaschinkne (a pancake filled with ground walnuts, cinamom and sugar). But my absolute best was the Esterhazy torta which is a walnut and cream layerd cake, absolutely amzing stuff...and guess what....their cappuchinos are great, they are also famous for their coffee houses and they can be. what was a totally new experience was the m...

Update on my Vienna touring

Image
So, now i have been exploring vienna a couple of days, managed to see a lot of the city, but man its freezing. I walk around for an hour or so and then i try to find some kind of coffee shop for an hour or so, take my book and just chill...have found strong coffee but the foam is not comparable to my beloved sugo or vida....so i saw the schloss schoenbrunn, my feet almost fell off from walking in the snow...and hands, wot hands!also saw stephans cathedral and opera house and mozarts house, been very good, architecture is stunning. Today i tried a typical viennese speciality, all their specialities are sweets, not my best but i am trying them. So today was a sachertorte....choc cake with a heavy real hard choc overcoat and some very thin layer of apricot jam. I was dreading the jam but basically it is just to glue the hard choc to the soft cake.....sunday i am off to budapest, bought a bus ticket...just 3 hrs from here, gonna stay with my friend lillian's cousin.....cannot wait t...
