Magnums

Yes....finally a blog on all the Magnums that Kim and I have tried....not Kim OR I....but Kim AND I.....where to start....the classic...the one we all know....

Magnum Classic: Vanilla ice cream covered with smooth, silky milk chocolate....yummie...simple but good

Classic: found in South Africa

Magnum Almond: Second best know....vanilla ice cream covered with milky choc with almond splinters....i definitely prefer this to the classic...but i am a nut lover...so yes...there is bias....

Magnum Hazelnut: This has choclate ice cream and is covered with chcolate with hazelnut splinters....yummie...but i would rather have the Almond Magnum

White Magnum: white choc with vanilla ice cream....believe it or not...i actually like it...different...white choc is of course sweeter...but it actually tastes yummie...and there is nuts in the choc covering the ice cream...bonus

Mint Magnum: dont ask me exactly how this one was....i dont remember the ice cream or the covering....i took one bite, didnt like it and that was that....i kind of knew that i woud not like it though cause i dont like mint and choc together....kim on the other hand liked it....but then again he likes mint and chocolate.....so for me...no thanx.

Biscotti Magnum: choc and almond flavoured ice cram covered with milk choc and biscuit pieces.... divine...love it....def a must try...this is based of course on the famous Italian biscuit...yummie.....biscotti.....

Strawberry Magnum: vanilla ice cream with swirls of straberry covered with milk chocolate....not bad...cause it is just strawberry swirls in the vanilla ice cream...it is not strawberrry ice cream...which prob some people would love....good but i would only choose if nothing else.....well..i will put it above the mint...

Pistaccio Magnum: Pistaccio ice cReam covered in choc....oh my word....love it...how can i not...im an absoloute fan on pistaccio ice cream...and Magnums are divine...so yes...this is a hit...first we discovered it in Naples...and then lucky me...it also exists in Turkey....we found it in Izmir....so cool....def def a mist try..

Choc Capuccino Magnum: vanilla ice cream flavoured with coffee and covered with milk choc and sugar splinters....yummie...the sugar splinters are excellent..That is what i love about this Magnum....i really like it...also the coffee flavour is very subte not over povering at all...divine....
Choc Capuccino: Found in Thailand
Death by choc Magnum: choc ice cream covered with dark choc...what is there not to like..no vanilla...yes...sometimes you definitely want vanilla...but if in one of those really chocolate moods...go for this...i enjoyed it....

Sandwich Magnum: has no wodden holding stick..it is vanilla ice cream, but more of a soft serve type and one side is covered with dark choc and nuts and the other side is sanwiched between soft biscuit...man this is sooooo good...i love love love it....wow....the only thing that could make it the best....pistaccio ice cream instead of vanilla...then again...that might be too much...so for me...just a very hard choice if i see pistaccio magnum and sandwich magnum...damn....

Sandwich Magnum: found in Naples

Pink Magnum:.....chamapgne ice cream with pink swirls and choc covering...and above choc covering...it is glitter pink....love the ice cream...but i like eating choc and ice cream seperate...cause otherwise choc over powers champagne....but good....but def doesnt beat sandwich or pistaccio

Now...of course we will have to try the black (espresso) also....as well as the brownie and any others....if there is one i missed out...please let me know..but for now...this is my Magnum blog....cheers

Wedding time.....my baby sister's wedding

Oh my word....my sister, who wanted to be a nun (inspired by the movie Sister Act), is getting married....and to a guy that suites her perfectly.....we started getting reAdy around lunch time...make up artist, Victor Ortega, was flown in from Manila. He did my sister's, my mom's and my makeup....but now a few steps back...this wedding pre- celebration started on Wednesday night with a Swiss family dinner, Thursday night a pub crawl and Friday night a close family (Aboitiz and Bucher) at a Spanish tapas place (where the food was amazing...first time i tried nero paella)....but to the pub crawl we get later..... Nero Paella Lechon So....the make up artist was fabulous.....he did an amazing job, he also did the hair for the three of us...the other brides maides' make up and hair was done by his entourage.....here a pic of us getting ready for the big event.... Another cruise in Western Caribbean

This is the second week....we started the journey in Tampa and this Tampa we decided to take Sofia to the aquarium...I was quite interested to see whether she would be fascinated with the fishes or not....and she was....certain ones...certain ones not too much....but she definitely enjoyed going there. The aquarium had 8 sections: Wetlands Trail, Journey to Madagascar, Bays & Beaches, No Bone Zone, Coral Reefs, Dragons Down Under, Ocean Commotion and Splash Pad. We visited all except for the Splash Pad (that is outside for the kids to play and it was closed at the moment). It was nice also because there were areas where you could touch the sting rays...I enjoyed that, Sofia did not want to touch them, and nor did Kim. First few days in our new home- Dallas TX

So we have arrived in Texas....yay for us....and we have been doing quite a lot...so yes, we have been keeping busy. We arrived on Friday 23rd June in the afternoon at 2pm....after doing immigration, we went to the hotel, dropped off the luggage, literally, and went to fetch our new car....a white Jeep Cherokee....it is so nice....we are soooo excited to have it...beautiful...have a look.... Sofia in the Jeep Kim and the Jeep Cherokee Friday night we had some Sushi take-aways because Sofia was jet lagged, and so were we, so we did not make it to a restaurant with her.  Saturday there was also quite a few admin things to get done...but it was a rainy day....it rained almost the whole day...so we got a bit wet, but it is warm rain......so never mind. We started off by driving past our new home (could not go inside as the current owners were packing up) and then we made our way to McKinney where we have a friend who has been so kind to receive and store all of our post,
