My venture

So....i had 2 days in Barcelona with my friend, Blanca, before i would join Kim on the ship....a different ship....no longer the Jade...now the Spirit...but let me tell you about my 2 amazing days in Barcelona.....Blanca and her family really spoilt me....Blanca fetched me on Friday morning at the airport and then we went to Sagrada di Familia....i have seen it from the outside but have never gone inside.....it is a large catholic cathedral situated in the middle of Barcelona....constructed by Gaudi, the construction started in 1882 and Gaudi became involved in 1883. When he died in 1926 less than a quater of the project was complete, it then relied on private donations to be built, funny enough construction reached mid point in 2010....they want it to be complete in 2026.....hmmmmmm.... Blanca and i vistited the Sagrada and also took an audio guide...this for me was crucial cause i love to learn new things and i definitely learnt some intersting points, for example: Upon completi...

The last week before going to Europe seemed to just fly by.....it started with kim's birthday...he wanted a traditional SA braai at my parent's house...and that is what we did....from potato salad to pasta salad to lamb chops to boerewors.....and kebabs....and dessert....the good old favourite...Magnum ice-cream...and yes....not to forget SA wine and bubbly....what a fun night....it lasted long into the early morning....but truely special...and yes..i can share some pics... Mom, John, Leanne, dad, Juerg and Kim Liezl, Lisa, Katja, Craig and me Theo and his wife, Kim and me Me wearing Kim's Birthday present Another thing that i have to tell you.....we are wanting to open an italian restaurant....well now we can say we will open....an italian restaurant....so of course we have to taste the pizza competition around us....and yes...andiccio is one of them cause we wanna do take aways also....so, the one night, we had three pizzas from andiccio....let me first share ...

So yes.....we did not only play the 19th hole...what else is there....there is an 18 hole golf course as well as a 9 hole par 3 golf course...for the 18 hole golf course, each hole is designed by a different golfer, golfers from around the world....while for the 9 hole par 3, it is famous par 3's from all over the world....so quite a cool idea for both. We played the 18 hole golf course twice and did not have time to play the 9 hole par 3 golf course, well there was time...but after 18 holes i rather relax a little as opposed to play another 9 holes.... The golf course is quite difficult but beautiful...i really enjoyed it....first round was a shocker, but what can i expect after not playing for so long while the second round turned out to be fun cause i actually had a good game of golf....and yes...i can share some pics... Legends Golf Resort is situated about 3hrs from Jhb....it is famous for the 19th hole....which is the longest par 3 in the world.....you have to go up onto a cliff with a helicopter and from up there you tee-off....so yes....for kim's birthday weekend that is where we were going...leave on friday morning and return by sunday evening...kim and i decided to go with the bike (my parents would take our golf clubs)....we left earlish cause we wanted to take the scenic route...first stop was the Harley shop on Zambezi road in Pretoria....we just wanted to drop some flyers for our new Harley rental business.....after that kim asked for some advise on which roads to travel and off we went.....oh my word....im not gonna go there...the way these people from the Harely shop told us to drive was shocking...bad roads....roadworks...and so slow....we drove until Cullinan and then decided to turn back.....re-routing a few times until we were back on the N4....anyway we did some uneccessary sight...
